"Its basically two movies in one. On the surface it would appear to be an entirely different genre of movie. maybe a romantic comedy or something. it has to be something you would never expect. That portion of the movie has to be well done and well written possibly even legitimately funny. It has to be something you might actually sit through. At the very end though everything suddenly changes. seemingly out of nowhere maybe one of the characters murders the other or some sort of monster suddenly kills off the protagonist. maybe they get rescued by a character you havent seen before, maybe that hero then dies a gruesome death and reveals some sort of seemingly meaningless gibberish with his final breath. Either way its confusing as hell and you feel like you must have missed something REALLY important. so you go back and watch it again...

4 Ways To Make The Disney Star Wars Movies Successful

We're all anxious to see how Disney will handle the new Star Wars movies, especially since no definitive storyline has been reported. A new edition to the franchise is planned for 2015 (Really? It takes THAT long?), and I hope these suggestions may show a better path towards success.

4. Girl Lead

I know it's basically tradition to have a male lead in these movies...Hell, pretty much all the characters are male except for a few supporting females. Although I'm a guy and am exceptionally biased towards my gender's superiority (I have no problem fighting women, and especially no problem fighting old people, bring it) I think it would do the franchise good to have a female lead, or at least a co-lead. If you haven't noticed, the people who like these movies are 95% male, it's time to expand the horizons here.

I can totally, and sadly, accept the fact that a new Christopher Nolan Batman movie will not come out. He has stated that, "The Dark Knight Rises is specifically and definitely the end of the Batman story as I wanted to tell it." But what if a sequel happened to be made?

3. No Original Actors
Rumors have been flying around like Bette Midler on a broomstick about actors like Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford expressing interest in being in the new Star Wars movies. With all due respect, they're old. I feel like they could tell me how dirt was made. The original actors were great in the original trilogy, but these are new movies that need new actors to revitalize the franchise.

The Infuriating Problems With Horror Movies

Horror movies can be great fun to watch (see this article why), but there are some things in every one that just piss us off: By adding some vital flaws to the plot, the movie is able to continue with the ignorant characters staying ignorant and the antagonistic characters growing more antagonisticly.  Someday we may see a movie that doesn’t rely on bullspit character actions to keep the movie interesting, but, for now, we are stuck with movies that will just infuriate us.  Let’s look at the list…

See It First: Books That Were Better As Movies

It is safe to say that pretty much everyone who reads this post enjoys books and films. As an intelligent species, we find stories to be an essential part of our lives. Although some books and movies hold a universal appeal and are done well both ways (i.e. Harry Potter), they aren't all that way. Some books are better to read first because the movies made from them are either awful or leave out interesting details, but some books just plain suck and it takes a movie to make them into something more entertaining. Here are a few of those books that fell way too short of the movies they were made into. 

The Hobbit
Although the second and third installments to the trilogy have yet to come, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey proves to be the highest grossing December release, and it's no wonder why. The story is captivating, the sights are mesmerizing, and Peter Jackson's ability to bring such a terrible book to life is absolutely astounding.

Movie Sequels That Need To Be Made

Being an avid movie watcher, I noticed something disturbing; all the shitty movies have sequels and none of the good ones do.  Why is this?  I searched for answers, but found nothing.  That led me to believe that Hollywood likes nothing more than torturing us by making us want more decent movies, but not delivering.  I took the liberty of making a few sequels that need to be released.  I can only hope movie producers see these and decide they are good enough for production.

Now that 2012 is coming to an end, we can reflect on what has happened this year: we didn't perish in the fires of Mayan Hell, Curiosity lands on Mars, Whitney Houston died (no surprise there), The Black Eyed Peas didn't die, some famous couple got married, and Hollywood finally figured out how to make an acceptable movie.  Here at TBMP, we are going to look at the high points of the year and make you forget about the awful things that have happened, like The Black Eyed Peas I mentioned earlier.

The Least Effective Weapons To Use During A Zombie Apacolypse

I love zombies.  Video games, movies, TV shows, or anything else that has them.  I like it.  I have seen so many things involving the killing of zombies that I have a solid grasp on how to deal with them.  Every time you see someone kill a zombie, they try to make it look as awesome as possible, but what if a real zombie apocalypse were to happen?  What weapons would people grab?  The cool movie ones, of course.

In The Spirit of Halloween...

I'm going to talk about scary movies.  Movies, in general, are usually pretty fun to go see.  Though not for everyone, horror movies are especially fun.

You know it's good when it destroys your childhood.

I'm not quite sure what it is about scary movies that make them so fun and no matter how you try and describe the appeal of them, you will always sound like a sadist.  "They are these movies where helpless people are mentally and physically tortured by monsters and supernatural beings.  What's that?  You don't want to be friends anymore?  Yeah, I don't blame you."

Who hasn't wanted to be a superhero before?  I think that is a dream everyone has shared at some point.  The superpowers, the fame, the fighting of crime.  It all sounds great, so why can't we all be one?

In the sea of superhero movies, it is hard to find one that truly stands out among the rest.  It seems that every movie is a reboot of a series or another part of a trilogy.  One movie takes the spotlight from the rest, not because it has amazing superheros, but because it has a geeky kid who wants to play superhero...and fails.  That movie is Kick-Ass (that's the title, but it is also pretty kick ass).
