Best Song Mashups

Here's a quick article.  A song "mashup" is when two songs are taken and, quite basically, mashed together.  There are some songs out there that are just terrible, almost unlistenable at times, but when mashed with another terrible song, it makes a good song.  Yes, I am aware that that is confusing logic and makes absolutely no sense, so just give these songs a listen and you will see what I mean.  Also, a song below features Taylor Swift and she is not terrible, like I may have implied from above and you will understand in a bit.  She is great.
Yes.

Also also, If you don't usually play videos or songs from blog posts, you will deeply regret not playing these.

"Psychosocial Baby" - Justin Bieber and Slipknot
Mashes: "Psychosocial" by Slipknot and "Baby" by Justin Bieber
Taking the worst of two worlds, Justin Beiber and Slipknot, taking their worst two songs, "Baby" and "Psychosocial," and mashing them together should create the worst song, right?  Dead wrong.  "Psychosocial Baby" is a musical spectacle.  By replacing the whiny Bieber voice with a growly man's and replacing the unmusical Slipknot instruments with happy pop beats, the constant, unresolved struggle between the music genres creates an unlikely musical balance; this is what makes the song genius.

"We Are Coming Undone" - Korn and Taylor Swift
Mashes: "Coming Undone" by Korn and "We Are Never Getting Back Together" by Taylor Swift
This mashup actually works incredibly well, despite the two artists, again, coming from two vastly different genres.  Johnathan Davis' (Korn) singing is strides more musical than Corey Taylor's (Slipknot), which is why it fits with the light-hearted guitar riffs of "We Are Never Getting Back Together."  There's no conflict between genres because both songs being mashed have a good sense of musicality, unlike the last one.  You could actually be easily tricked into thinking this is a real song if you've never heard the originals.  You know, maybe Taylor Swift and Korn should join forces for an album and make bank on their double-demographic approach.

"Thriller I Forget" - Michael Jackson and Slipknot
Mashes: "Thriller" by Michael Jackson and "Before I Forget" by Slipknot
This is another song featuring Slipknot, maybe there's a pattern here; Slipknot is better when mixed with other famous songs.  Here's where I bring hate upon myself.  I dislike Michael Jackson, more than Slipknot (gasp!), so that's why "Thriller I Forget" is an improvement to Jackson's original "Thriller."  Let's be honest, "Thriller" was a bit of a bore, so adding in the heavy metal vocals makes it a little more interesting and listenable.

"Never Gonna Give Your Teen Spirit Up" - Nirvana and Rick Astley
Mashes: "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana
Back in 2008, the biggest and greatest internet trick was Rickrolling.  Rickrolling was taking a seemingly harmless link which was linked to the absurdly catchy Rick Astley song, "Never Gonna Give You Up."  This wouldn't have been such an annoyance if it hadn't shown up everywhere.  Astley even Rickrolled the world at The Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.  So, thank God, someone took this song and mashed it with a different one.  Now we have a new song to enjoy while being Rickrolled.  The best part about it is that, besides the title, there is no indication of Rick Astley showing up (he does at :27), which makes his appearance even greater.  Now there is a way to Rickroll the stuck-up grunge fans who refuse to open any link that isn't related to Pearl Jam or Soundgarden.

"Float On Easy" - Modest Mouse and Avenged Sevenfold
Mashes: "Float On" by Modest Mouse and "Almost Easy" by Avenged Sevenfold
This is definitely the weakest entry of the five, but it has a special place in my heart because it features one of my favorite singers.  That is pretty much the only reason it's on this list.
